Atheists Sue Against Pledge Of Allegiance In New Jersey

ThePledgeOneNation

According to these atheists, the speaking of “under God” is somehow a violation of the equal protection guarantees of the New Jersey Constitution.

The New Jersey legislature requires schools to have children recite the Pledge of Allegiance, so the atheists should probably sue the legislature, not individual schools. The lawsuit, however, is good publicity and helps the American Humanist Association raise funds and insult the Lord at the same time. The American Humanists Association wants a system of relative values with no absolutes. In their warped logic society could continue with no moral laws and mutual respect for the law and the right of individuals. But societies based on relative values soon developed their own absolutes which is what occurred in Hitler’s Germany and Mao’s China. The result was the torturous deaths of millions and the destruction of civil society.

The claim that “under God” violates equal protection is the newest tactic of those who hate God and Christianity. Previously, atheists claimed that “under God” violated the separation of church and state.

Read William J. Murray’s book, The Pledge: One Nation Under God to learn about the history of the Pledge of Allegiance and the role that Christianity played in guaranteeing religious liberty and political freedom in America.
