Marriage And Religious Freedom Bill Introduced

Congressman Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) presented his new bill to defend the religious freedom of those who believe in marriage, and experts discussed the threats religious liberty faces in the public square.

The Health and Human Services contraception mandate and cases where homosexuals sue religious florists and bakers for refusing to do business with them “are creating a climate of intolerance and intimidation for citizens who believe that marriage is the union of one man and one woman,” Labrador declared at The Heritage Foundation on Monday.



U.S. Conference Of Catholic Bishops Supports ‘Marriage And Religious Freedom Act’

The Marriage and Religious Freedom Act (H.R. 3133) would bar the federal government from discriminating against individuals and organizations based upon their religiously-motivated belief that marriage is the union of one man and one woman or that sexual relations are properly reserved to such a marriage. The Act provides broad protections against adverse federal actions directed toward individuals and organizations that act on such beliefs.



Afghan parliament upholds right to marry children
