Abduction of Nuns in Syria Aims to Force Christians to Emigrate

Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and Jordan condemned the kidnapping 12 nuns from the monastery of St. Takla in Maaloula, Syria, adding that the goal of this crime is to harass Christians and push them to emigrate.

According to Palestine’s Maan news agency, Patriarch Theophilus said the kidnappers cannot claim they are fighters or revolutionaries who want to achieve national goals, and are “just criminals who have lost religious and human values.”

Nigerian Boko Haram Terrorists Moving Into Cameroon To Kill Christians

A missionary has been killed and several churches set ablaze in attacks by Nigeria’s Islamist group Boko Haram in neighbouring Cameroon.

The Nigerian missionary, David Dina Mataware, with the Christian Missionary Foundation (CMF), was killed on November 13 by suspected Boko Haram militants in Ashigashia, a village which straddles the Nigeria-Cameroon border.

Evangelical Christians are mourning the death of two pastors who were killed on Kenya’s coast over the weekend amid concerns about growing pressure on devoted believers in the African nation, BosNewsLife learned Wednesday, October 23.

Among those killed 41-year-old Charles Matole, the leader of Mombasa’s Vikwatani Redeemed Gospel Church, who was found dead in the church Sunday morning, sitting on a chair with a Bible on his lap, church members said.

Egyptian Islamic Terrorists Kill Coptic Christians At Wedding

Three people – including an eight-year-old girl were killed by Islamic killers on a motorcycle as Coptic Christians came out of church after a wedding. At least nine others were wounded.

The attack took place in Giza. According to one eyewitness: “We heard a very loud sound as if something was collapsing. I found a woman seated in a chair with lots of bullet wounds, covered in blood. Many other people had fallen around her, including a child.”
