Chaplains: Answering A Higher Calling To Serve

The role of a chaplain is inherently religious. As the makeup of our service members has expanded, the chaplaincy has expanded with it to include representatives reflecting the many faith traditions of our troops, including Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim and Hindu. When a religious leader becomes a military chaplain, he pledges to equally serve all members of the armed forces, regardless of religious belief. Chaplains faithfully carry out this sacred duty each and every day.

Obama Opposes Religious Liberty Amendments For U.S. Military

The Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces doesn’t want our soldiers, sailors, Marines, and airmen to have religious liberty.

Obama’s press office released a statement recently that any amendment protecting religious liberty in the military “would require the Armed Forces to accommodate, except in cases of military necessity, ‘actions and speech’ reflecting the ‘conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs of the member.”
