New Nigeria Church Attack Kills 22 As More Unrest Reported

Nigeria has seen much destruction of churches.

Islamic militants armed with guns and explosives attacked a busy church service in a northeastern Nigerian village, killing at least 22 people, witnesses and church officials said Monday, January 27. The attackers reportedly set off bombs and fired into the congregation in the Catholic church  in Waga Chakawa village in Adamawa state on Sunday, January 26, before burning houses and taking residents hostage during a four hour siege.



Islamic Herdsmen Attack Church; 3 Killed, 16 Injured

Herdsmen from the mainly Muslim Fulani ethnic group stormed an evangelical church and fired shots during a New Year’s Eve worship service in central Nigeria, killing as many as three people and injuring 16 others. Not all injuries may have been reported
