Women marched into a slave auction by the ISIL

Under traditional Islamic law, women are inferior to men because, according to Mohammad, the prophet of Islam, women are less intelligent and “the majority of hell’s population is made up of women, who are likened to donkeys and dogs in their ability to distract a man from his prayer.”

Imagine then what traditional Muslim men must think about non-Muslim, or “infidel” women. One Pakistani Muslim told a group of young Christian girls that infidel women are “meant for one thing, the pleasure of the Muslim man.” He uttered these words before terrorizing and murdering one of the girls.

Since conquering Mosul in June 2014, the Islamic State has executed almost 250 non-Muslim girls for refusing to be sex slaves. Many of these girls were Christians and Yazidis.

One report of jihadi violence against non-Muslims tells of parents opening the door to their house to find a plastic bag filled with body parts of the daughter, who were kidnapped by ISIS, along with a video of them being tortured and raped.

Every year in Pakistan, approximately 700 Christian and 300 Hindi girls are abducted, raped, and enslaved.

Open Doors is a human rights organization that advocates for persecuted Christians around the world. Emily Fuentes, the communications direct for the organization said:

Unforunately, more and more women are the target of [Muslim] terrorist groups. There are numerous international incidents of women being kidnapped, raped and forced to convert from Christianity to Islam by radical extremist groups… Many are also sold on the open market… In many of these countries, women are subject to persecution because they are considered second-class citizens because of their gender. As minorities in both gender and faith, Christian women face double the persecution. Although we don’t have the exact number, we know that millions of women are being persecuted…  In these Muslim-dominated countries, Christian women are systematically deprived of their freedom to live and are denied basic human necessities.
