The Supreme Court has sided with homosexual activists over “gay” marriage.

BreakPoint commentator Eric Metaxas writes this week about the “new religion” in America and the shifting definition of religious freedom.

The “new religion” is one crafted by liberals and by homosexuals who are on a rampage to enforce this new religion on orthodox Christians.

According to Metaxas:

The message is clear: not only should Christians remain silent about gay marriage if we know what’s good for us, but we must be made to agree with and even celebrate what Scripture calls sin. As Ana Marie Cox recently said of Christians on MSNBC, “you’re going to have to force [them] to do things they don’t want to do.”

But gay columnist Frank Bruni recently took it to the next level in the New York Times, writing that it’s time Christians get with the program and “take homosexuality off the sin list.” The lived experience of same-sex couples ought to trump what he calls the “scattered passages of ancient texts” condemning his lifestyle. Wow.

According to Bruni, freedom of religion should be “freeing … religious people from prejudices that they … can indeed jettison, much as they’ve jettisoned other aspects of their faith’s history, rightly bowing to the enlightenment of modernity.”

In other words, in the new religion imposed on Christians by liberals and their homosexual allies, religious freedom is rejecting orthodox Christianity and embracing whatever perversion these liberals want to impose on American culture.

Sadly, many Christian churches are already rejecting biblical morality in favor of “tolerance” and “acceptance” to those to engage in sexual sins – such as homosexuality. And, those who hold to biblical positions on premarital sex and sodomy are considered bigoted, hateful, and intolerant of this new “religion.”

This summer, the Supreme Court is poised to impose “gay” marriage on America. Once this happens, all hell will break loose and Christians will be forced to take sides in this battle for religious liberty and orthodox Christianity. How many will surrender to this new religion?

As for the Religious Freedom Coalition, we will never surrender to the leftist god of “tolerance” of sin and immorality.
