Forty-one members of the House of Representatives have signed an amicus curiae brief from the American Center for Law and Justice and the American Catholic Lawyers Association to support “In God We Trust” on U.S. currency. Many of these Members of Congress are part of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, headed by Rep. Randy Forbes (R-VA).

At Daybreak on the National Day of Prayer, May 2nd, 2013, several Christian leaders met on the steps of the Supreme Court to offer prayers for the Court and the nation. The liturgy for the morning was prepared by Rev. Rob Schenck the founder and president of Faith and Action in the Nation’s Capital.

The Awakening is a large gathering of mostly evangelical social conservatives, for a two day conference on various issues. On April 19th and 20th of 2013, The Awakening was held near Orlando, Florida on the campus of the First Baptist Church of Oviedo and the Religious Freedom Coalition was there to educate those present about the root of terror in the world today – Saudi Arabia.

Religious Freedom Coalition Chairman William J. Murray told a WND reporter, “The fact is that the church in the USA is not dealing with the problem or even discussing it. Christians here in the U.S. think not being able to give Easter cards out at schools is persecution,” Murray said. “In Nigeria, it means more than 1,200 murdered last year and countless others wounded.”
