The Awakening is a large gathering of mostly evangelical social conservatives, for a two day conference on various issues. On April 19th and 20th of 2013, The Awakening was held near Orlando, Florida on the campus of the First Baptist Church of Oviedo and the Religious Freedom Coalition was there to educate those present about the root of terror in the world today – Saudi Arabia.

The Hutton Hotel in Nashville has announced it is cancelling the Preserving Freedom Conference sponsored by the Sharia Awareness Action Network (SAAN). A senior vice president of the parent company, Steve Eckley said that his hotel has been getting threatening phone calls and letters and will not honor the contract they signed with the SAAN. Eckley told us that he wouldn’t let us on the premises if we showed up. This is the second time in two weeks that a major hotel has cancelled a conference dealing with sharia law and radical Islam. The other hotel was the Hyatt Place in Sugarland, Texas.

PRESIDENT OBAMA WOULD PREFER WE FORGET – I have great sympathy for the families of the victims of the jihad attack against the United States on 9-11. But that tragic date symbolizes much more than the loss of life on that one day; it symbolizes the beginning of a great struggle between Western civilization and the imposition of a new medieval period of darkness upon the world, one in which New York would resemble Cairo or worse.

The rally at Ground Zero sponsored by Pamela Geller’s Stop the Islamization of America was a great success. The crowd filled two city blocks, many of whom brought flags and banners. Speakers included family members of those who died in the 911 jihad attack against our nation. Leaders from groups fighting the advance of sharia law in their own nations spoke as well.
