The EACH Act broadens the religious exemption to ensure those who rely solely on a religious method of healing, like Christian Scientists, are not forced to purchase health insurance when these services violate their religious beliefs.

Little Sisters Of The Poor Appeal To The Supreme Court

This week, 20 states and a diverse array of organizations filed amicus curiae briefs in support of the Little Sisters, asking that the Supreme Court agree to hear their case. These groups included the Cato Institute, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, a group of Orthodox Jewish Rabbis, the Christian Legal Society, the Independent Women’s Forum, the Association of American Physicians & Surgeons, the Southern Baptists, the American Center for Law and Justice, and a group of law professors.

Federal Court Rules That Michigan Firm, Autocam, Not Required To Provide Abortion Coverage

The Thomas More Society has won permanent protection for Autocam Medical, LLC, protecting its religious freedom to decline to provide abortion or contraceptive group insurance coverage for employees. Yesterday concluded a long legal battle that took Autocam all the way up to the United States Supreme Court, which sent the case back down to the lower courts.

Catholic Law School Wins Victory Against Obamacare

The Ave Maria Law School has just won its lawsuit against the Obama Administration over the Obamacare abortion mandate. A federal judge has ruled that the abortion mandate imposed on the law school is banned from enforcement. The school faced thousands of dollars in fines for refusing to abide by the mandate.

New Rules Published On The HHS Anti-Religious Liberty Abortion Mandate

On Friday, August 22, the administration released an interim final rule of the HHS mandate for nonprofit organizations, as well as a proposed rule for certain for-profit businesses after the Supreme Court’s decision in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby.  This is the eighth time that the rules have been amended. The Obama Administration clearly has no concern about religious liberty or the First Amendment. It only cares about paying off its abortion industry donors by forcing all Americans to subsidize the killing of unborn babies.

Sen. Schumer: If You Don’t Like Abortion Mandate, Don’t Go Into Business

New York U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer (D) had a message for Christian business owners who object to being forced to provide abortion services under Obamacare: “You’re born with a religion or you adopt a religion. You have to obey the precepts of that religion and the government gives you a wide penumbra – you don’t have to form a corporation.”
