National Day of Prayer 2017

May 5th, 2017 | By | Category: News Posts

Yesterday, May 4, Religious Freedom Coalition Chairman William J. Murray joined Faith & Action Institute in front of the Supreme Court for the National Day of Prayer.

Prayer was once illegal on the grounds of the United States Supreme Court. Only a few years ago, leading a service like this would be enough to get you arrested and charged with a federal offense.

The Daybreak Prayer service, held just after sunrise, is the only approved observance of the National Day of Prayer at the seat of the judicial branch of the federal government. Those who participated prayed for the judicial branch, the nine Justices, and for the 850 federal judges under them.
