Islamist activists should be given no more courtesy from the Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore for them to advance their agenda than Amerimar Enterprise gave the freedom loving Americans who sponsored the Preserving Freedom Conference to stop Sharia law from creeping into our country.
Florida Family Association released an email alert and online article on May 1, 2012 which reported that the Islamic Society of North America is planning a conference at the Hilton Airport Tampa Westshore on May 11-12, 2012. The original email alert is posted at the end of this email.
Thousands of concerned citizens sent emails to officials with the hotel owner Ashford Hospitality Trust and franchisor Hilton International to complain about this Islamist event.
In response to these emails, David Brooks, COO of Ashford Hospitality Trust called Florida Family Association and spoke with David Caton. Mr. Brooks informed Florida Family Association that they are going to allow the convention to take place.
So David Brooks COO of Ashford Hospitality Trust plans to knowingly allow their property Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore to advance Sharia law in one of America’s most Islamist vulnerable cities.
Sharia law has top billing at this Islamic Society of North America convention according to the following portions of their email:

Could it be the Islamic Society of North America is trying to counter Florida Family Association and others’ highly publicized criticism of the school board in Tampa for allowing CAIR Florida (Council on American Islamic Relations) to brainwash students with their “friendly, pre-domination” version of Sharia law?
Perhaps the Islamic Society of North America knows how progressive and friendly Tampa’s mayor, police department and school board are to Islamists. Florida Family Association’s web site Welcometotampafl.org warns that “Tampa could be one of America’s first Sharia compliant cities.”
Sharia law is hostile to many American policies which protect life and human rights. Sharia law advocates physical acts of submission toward women (wives, daughters, sisters), polygamy, female body mutilation, pedophilia, marital rape, honor killing and the imprisonment and/or execution of blasphemers, infidels and unbelievers.

Mr. Murray, I think you should read up on the First Amendment. Try to understand the legal circumstances under which speech can Constitutionally be suppressed. An institution that is open to the public like this hotel cannot cancel an event on the basis that the group is the “wrong” religion. Only speech that incites people to immediate violence can be suppressed for its content.
Perhaps more importantly, you are rather hysterical and just flat wrong about Shariah law. Your attacks come across as just ignorant racism. You sound very much like the Nazis’ hysterical condemnation of Jews before World War II, or the American Know Nothing Party of the 1850s that attacked Catholics in very much the same way as you attack Muslims.
REALLY? Then please explain why hotels, including Hilton Hotels, have cancelled events by those opposed to Sharia Law. As for the First Amendment … The hotel is NOT a government agency. No private entity is required to allow any type of speech or gathering. Of course, because you are a liberal idiot, you have attempted to accuse those of us who are opposed to female genital mutilation and honor killings as racists. The real question here is this: Why, as a so called liberal, do you support Sharia Law which eliminates virtually all rights of women and forces them to live in virtual slavery with their genitals mutilated at birth?
