Many Americans were outraged to learn recently that at the respected Boston Children’s Hospital procedures are being done that some doctors call “treatments,” but most would call child abuse. A pediatrician, Dr. Norman Spack, has opened a clinic at the hospital for kids as young as seven years old, who want to change their gender.
Instead of counseling the youngsters to help them gain confidence in their own God-given biological gender, Dr. Spack and his associates, and the pathetic excuses for parents who bring their children to this clinic, are engaged in something much more disturbing. The children are given hormones to stop the development of sexual characteristics that would normally appear at puberty, so that it will be easier to “reassign” their gender in the late teens. In other words, they are chemically mutilated as a prelude to the surgical mutilation that is to come.
Young boys who say they want to be girls are given drugs to stunt their growth so that they will never develop the height they normally would have, and hormones to prevent a masculine facial development and deepening voice. Girls who want to be boys are given hormones so that breast development never occurs –one less problem for the surgeons who will later try to reshape their bodies to somewhat resemble a man’s.
These barbaric “treatments” have permanent and life altering consequences, with both sexes being rendered sterile and with physical and psychological problems they will have to deal with for life. All of this is done to them before they are mentally mature enough to make an informed decision or to understand what is being done to them.
Conservatives, in general, prefer to leave most medical and other decisions to the parents, but this is outrageous. This kind of treatment should be declared illegal, but it probably won’t be, since the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Psychological Association are in the grip of homosexual influence. I can’t think of a good enough word to discribe how horrid and sick this is.
Although I can’t say I find the practice agreable to my own personal tastes this is the USA and these procedures are well within the freedoms and rights we have fought for. Think about it in another way. These surgeries are wanted by both the children and the parents. Who are we to tell them how they have to raise their families. Now look at male circumcision surgery. In this case it is a procedure that only the parents want done. The child screams in agony as it is forced upon him. If parents can force surgery on an unwilling child in this case, why would it be wrong to do it in another case where the child wants to have the surgery done?
A more interesting question would be if a family would be allowed to force a sex change on an unwilling child in much the same way as circumcision surgery is? At theie heart, these two situations are the extent of the surgery and the amount of damage done is definately on a completely different scale. What it boils down to is whether or not a parent should have the right to force painful unecissary surgeries on children against their will? I think in both cases, a parent should not be allowed to force unecissary surgery on their children for no other reason than thier own personal beliefs. I think something as radical as unecissary surgery should never be performed on a human being against their wishes regardless of the age of the person. This however simply is not the case with these sex change surgeries. I do find the practice disturbing, but if the child, parents and physicians all think its a good idea then it is well within their personal freedoms to have it done.
I disagree completly with your view. These children have known their entire life that they were placed in the wrong body. Im not saying God made a mistake, only that he did this to make them stronger. If your take MRI scans children and adults that are transgender, their brains act like the gender they feel like. This is not for some child with a whim to be the other gender- this is about children who have the choice of changing their outside to fit their inside or living in a body that doesn’t feel like their own.
Giving a seven-year-old boy hormone treatments to stop his normal development as a male removes all the “choice” that liberals claim they are for. This child should be given to foster family that will allow him to develop on his own without lesbian parents pounding into him daily that he is a girl. This case is a excellent example of why homosexuals and lesbians should not be allowed to purchase children on the surrogate market. Human beings just should not be for sale.
